To capture the true culinary excellence of your property, the restaurant and buffet must be prepared with absolute precision. The camera magnifies every detail, from a beautiful garnish to a single fingerprint on a wine glass. To ensure a seamless and highly productive photoshoot, please brief your food & beverage team with the following preparation guidelines:
Culinary Excellence: F&B
Preparing Your Restaurant and Buffet for Photography
1. The Flawless Mise en Place
The dining room itself is the canvas. Before we focus on the food, the environment must be pristine.
- Precision Alignment: Every table must be set identically. Chairs should be perfectly aligned, and all cutlery, plates, and glasses must be symmetrically positioned.
- Impeccable Linens: Tablecloths and napkins must be professionally pressed and completely free of wrinkles or creases.
- Spotless Glassware: All wine glasses and water goblets must be polished to a high shine, absolutely free of water spots or fingerprints.

2. The “Untouched” Buffet Principle
A buffet only looks appetizing on camera before the first guest arrives.
- Exclusive Timing: The buffet must be fully set up at least 30 to 45 minutes before the doors open to guests, allowing us dedicated time to capture its untouched abundance.
- Flawless Surfaces: Chrome chafing dishes, glass sneeze guards, and serving utensils must be polished immediately before the shoot.
3. Timing for Ultimate Freshness
Food is highly sensitive to time and temperature, and the camera easily detects when dishes have been sitting out too long.
- The Last-Minute Rule: Do not plate sensitive items (like fresh salads, sliced fruits, or delicate sauces) too early. They should be brought out of the kitchen exactly when the lighting is set and the camera is ready.
- Vibrant Garnishes: Have a generous supply of fresh, vibrant herbs, microgreens, and edible flowers on hand. A last-minute garnish brings a dish to life on screen.

4. Presenting the Culinary Team
Integrating your staff adds warmth and authenticity to the imagery.
- Pristine Uniforms: Any chefs, sommeliers, or waitstaff participating in the shoot must wear brand-new or freshly pressed, spotless uniforms. Aprons and chef’s coats must be blindingly clean.
- Authentic Action: Prepare your team to perform genuine tasks, such as actively carving meat, flambéing a dessert, or gracefully pouring wine, rather than posing rigidly for the camera.
